Vivo has suggested launching iQOO Pro 5G in the announcement that will take place on August 22.
There have been reports that iQOO Pro 5G passed the TENAA certification, so what is all that is needed to know about the product so far?
So far 5G devices are significantly more expensive than 4G smartphones, but perhaps iQOO Pro 5G will be the first model to shorten this distance. According to the latest rumor from China, Vivo’s upcoming phone will be the cheapest 5G smartphone ever launched.
The post on Weibo said that the content was revealed by iQOO Vice President Feng Yufei, but the exact price has not been mentioned. However, this is clearly a good news for users, because one of the key barriers to applying 5G (in addition to having network support) will certainly be its price. So, the cheaper 5G smartphones, the easier it is to convince people to buy them.
And if Vivo’s iQOO Pro 5G is cheaper than any other 5G phone before, this may at least happen in China’s hometown. If Vivo decides to launch this device in another country with a 5G network, it still has to see how the company will price it.
Reportedly, Vivo IQOO Pro 5G is expected to come with 6.44 inch AMOLED touch screen 1080×2340 with tear-shaped notch, Snapdragon 855+ chip, up to 12 GB RAM and 512 GB internal memory. The device comes with 3 rear camera settings (48 MP + 13 MP + 12 MP), a 12 MP selfie camera and a 4,410 mAh battery that supports fast charging 44W. It runs Vivo’s Funtouch 9 OS based on Android 9 Pie platform.
